Research
Experimental fluid Mechanics:

a) Used techniques: Particle Image Velocimetry (2D- stereo - micro), Hot-Wire, LDA, pressure, force, wall shear and temperature measurements (use of liquid crystals), flow visualization.

b) Fluid mechanics-aerodynamics applications: UAVs, moving wings (pitching-plunging), square cross sectioned prisms and cylinders exposed to free stream, heat absorption from surfaces with protrusions, flow control, performance of swim fins and sails, mass flow rate of rarefied gases, micromixers, flow in microchannels with superhydrophobic and superhydrophylic surfaces.
Bioengineering applications: flow in stent models, aneurysms, self-oscillating vessels, vessel bifurcations, intra-aortic balloon pump, valveless pump, bileaflet heart valve, deformation of silicon oil droplets, vowel production.

Distinctions
During my graduate studies I was financially supported by the Graduate school through fellowships.
